A spin on a classic favorite, this savory and delicious recipe is anything but boring.

1 cup | savory oats |
1 cup | water |
2 tsp | Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Chicken Base |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
1 tsp | Better Than Bouillon® Mushroom Base |
½ cup | crimini mushrooms |
1 cup | fresh baby spinach leaves |
Directions
Cook oats per package direction by bringing 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan pan, stir in BTB Roasted Chicken base until dissolved and add oats. Stir to completely incorporate. Set aside.
While oats cook, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat, add 1 tsp of Better Than Bouillon Mushroom Base and cook for 20-30 seconds to fully incorporate.
Add mushrooms and saute for 1 - 2 minutes until they begin to glisten.
Add spinach and saute until wilted, about 1 minute.
Reduce heat to low and continue to saute 2 minutes or until spinach is wilted but still vibrant green. Remove from heat and set aside.
Stir the cooked oats and add to serving bowl.
Top with mushroom & spinach saute and garnish with your favorite toppings.
