Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient |
---|---|
½ cup | barbecue sauce |
2 tbsp | Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Beef Base |
1 tbsp | cornstarch |
1 lb | leftover roast beef or deli roast beef, shredded or diced (about 2 1/2 cups) |
1 bag | (32 oz) frozen French fries, cooked according to package directions |
20 oz | cheese curds |
4 | green onions, thinly sliced |
Directions
In saucepan set over high heat, combine 1 1/2 cups water, barbecue sauce and Roasted Beef Base; bring to boil. Stir cornstarch with 2 tbsp cold water until smooth; stir into sauce. Return to boil; cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened to desired consistency.
Stir in beef. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until beef is heated through and tender.
Arrange fries on serving dish. Top with cheese curds, beef and gravy. Garnish with green onions.
Substitute cubed mozzarella or Cheddar for cheese curds if desired. For a variation, substitute leftover steak, store-bought cooked brisket or browned ground beef for the roast beef.
