Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient |
---|---|
2 | racks baby back ribs |
4 Tbsp | Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Chicken Base |
2 Tbsp | barbecue spice blend |
⅔ cup | barbecue sauce |
¼ cup | maple syrup |
Directions
Brush both racks of ribs all over with Roasted Chicken Base. Season with barbecue spice blend.
Preheat oven to 300°F. Line baking sheet with double layer of foil with enough overhang to wrap foil around ribs.
Lay ribs bone side down on foil-lined baking sheet. Wrap foil around ribs. Seal foil package; bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until ribs are very tender but not falling apart.
Whisk together barbecue sauce, maple syrup and 2 Tbsp cooking liquid from ribs.
Preheat broiler to high; position rack in center of oven. Brush maple barbecue sauce all over ribs; broil on foil-lined baking sheet for 3 to 5 minutes or until lightly charred and glazed. Cut into 3-bone portions.
• Alternatively, grill ribs over medium heat on the barbecue, basting with maple barbecue sauce for 8 to 10 minutes.
• Substitute steak spice or Cajun seasoning for barbecue spice blend if desired.
