Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient |
---|---|
2 Tbsp | Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Garlic Base |
2 Tbsp | olive oil |
2 Tbsp | Dijon mustard |
2 Tbsp | finely chopped fresh thyme |
4 Tbsp | finely chopped fresh rosemary |
2 sheets | frozen puff pastry (each 10-inch square), thawed but still cold |
1 cup | finely grated Asiago cheese |
1 | egg |
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Stir together Roasted Garlic Base, oil, mustard, thyme and rosemary; set aside.
On lightly floured surface, unroll each pastry sheet; brush with herb mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and press lightly into pastry with rolling pin or hands. Refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes or until dough is firm.
Using pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut each pastry sheet into 12 strips. Twist strips and place on parchment paper–lined baking sheet. Whisk egg with 1 tbsp water; brush over each twist.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until puffed and golden. Serve warm or let cool completely.
Tip: Substitute aged Cheddar for Asiago cheese if desired.
