Serve our Classic Creamed Spinach as a side with your favorite lean meat

¼ cup | whipping cream |
½ tsp | Better Than Bouillon® Seasoned Vegetable Base |
1 Tbsp | grape seed oil |
1 Tbsp | butter |
1 Tbsp | minced shallot |
2 pkg | (9-ounce) fresh spinach, ends trimmed, rinsed, and drained |
½ tsp | freshly grated nutmeg |
salt | |

Directions
In a small bowl, add cream and Vegetable Base, whisk to combine and set aside.
In a large pot, add oil, butter and shallot. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until shallot is tender.
Add spinach; cook and stir until done and the liquid has evaporated.
Add cream-base mixture and nutmeg. Stir to combine and heat thoroughly. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Classic Creamed Spinach is a great side, or place freshly broiled fish on top of a serving of spinach for a signature entrée.
