Bison Burgers with Balsamic Ketchup

Directions
  1. Heat the grill to 450 °F.
  2. In a large bowl combine the bison, beef base, Parmesan cheese, pepper and salt. Form into 4 ounce patties.
  3. Place the burgers directly onto the grill and grill to desired temperature, 3-4 minutes per side. Carefully remove the burgers from the grill using a long handled spatula to a serving plate.
  4. Add the ketchup, sugar, vinegar, pepper, and sambal olek to a small saucepan and cook over low heat for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. To serve, divide the ketchup evenly among buns, and top with burgers.
