Directions
  1. Preheat an oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large preferably cast iron or ovenproof skillet, heat over medium heat.
  3. Add oil, butter and Vegetable Base, cook and stir about 2 minutes.
  4. Increase heat to medium-high, add potato pieces and sprinkle with nutmeg, cook and
  5. stir about 10 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat to medium, pour maple syrup over potatoes; cook and stir about 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, top with brown sugar, place in oven and bake until fork tender,
  8. about 10-15 minutes.
